SYNOPSIS:

Genre: Romance, Comedy

The story is a romantic comedy set in London during the 2009 financial crisis. People are becoming more and more cynical and true love is fainting away. Aphrodite (the Goddess of Love and Beauty) has been blamed by Zeus for the deterioration of love and was punished to live for eternity into the body of an ugly drunkard beggar (named AfroDude).

What is your screenplay about?

Fate is using a couple’s love story to save Aphrodite (the Greek Goddess of Love) from her misfortune.

What genres does your screenplay fall under?

The plot is both Comedy (for the superficial reader who doesn’t want to scratch below the surface) and Drama (for those who see the real pain behind the humour)

Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?

The idea behind the plot is unique, funny as well as educational!

What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay?

Time. The plot direction was almost clear from the beginning but I had no reason to finish the plot quickly. I really enjoyed the writing part of the Script and wanted to drag it out!

Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

My day job!

What influenced you to enter the festival? What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received?

Need to see my play on the big screen. The feedback I got from the Festival people was detailed and helped me to improve some aspects of my play.
