Writer Biography
Jessica Sadler’s fiction has appeared in Bartleby, Drunk Monkeys, Enizagam, and Atlas & Alice, and she won her alma mater’s annual Malcolm C. Braly Fiction Award. Her feature-length screenplay Omissions has been recognized/selected by several film & screenplay festivals. She earned a BA in Literature and an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from UMBC. She has taught English in Baltimore as a high school teacher, in Thailand as a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant, and in Japan as a Global Teaching Fellow. At writing and teaching conferences, Jessica has presented literature and education research. In 2020 and 2021, she received Maryland State Arts Council Professional Development Grants.
