RSVP: Comedy Film Festival – Thur. August 30th (Toronto)

The FEEDBACK Monthly Film Festival is back for 2018.. Our home is The Carlton Cinemas, located in the heart of downtown Toronto at 20 Carlton Street. The event runs from 7pm to 9:10pm.

Continuing to showcase the best of short films from around the world, while maintaining our audience feedback format moderated by Kierston Drier. Showcasing a festival twice a month in Toronto in 2018!

Tickets for 2018 are PAY WHAT YOU LIKE.

If you like to obtain seats in advance and pick them up on the day of the event (come for FREE, or make a donation), please email us at tickets@wildsound.ca and we’ll reserve seats for you.

You can pick up the tickets on the day of the event at the cinema. Tickets are first come, first serve. This festival has sold out 76 out of its last 78 events!

You will be able to buy alcohol (beer, wine, liquor), popcorn, candy, and refreshments before the show.

FIRST ACT PROGRAM


EAT JEREMY, 10min, UK, Comedy
Directed by Sam South

A couple in an early post apocalyptic world discuss whether to eat their dead best friend Jeremy or not.

NORMAN PINSKI COME HOME, 15min., USA, Comedy
Directed by Aaron Rudelson

When a lightning bolt tragically cuts short the life a Jewish plumber’s son, all appears lost for the Pinski family. But luckily for them, Dr. Vanderwal, a celebrated local baldness doctor is secretly a modern day Dr. Frankenstein. Once resurrected in the form of a classic horror film monster, Norman has another chance at finding himself….if his overbearing Jewish parents don’t get in the way.

MR. NICE GIRLS, 11min., USA, Comedy/Web Series 
Directed by Hope Carew & Allison O’Conor

Hope and Allison are best friends, and, most importantly, business partners. The two girls make and sell fake ID’s to kids at their university in a desperate attempt to be cool. Told in 6 short episodes, Mr. Nice Girls is a comedy with heart, exploring themes of friendship, growth, and what it’s like being a young idiot.

SECOND ACT PROGRAM


THE BIRTHDAY PARTY, 21min., USA, Comedy
Directed by GH Ridpath & Noah Ferche

Every year, two best friends (GH and Noah) make an epic movie trailer to invite people to their birthday party (SAD!). This year, things have hit a snag as they can’t seem to agree on a new idea. With the help of their “elderly” friend Joe, the boys sit down at a local bar and hash out their plan. While each man presents his idea, we are taken on an epic journey of visualization as each idea comes to life through reenactment spanning multiple genres, themes, and locations.

Dan and Pete move to New York City to start a new life. The two friends soon discover that the Outer Boroughs, while more affordable than Manhattan, are vastly haunted by all sorts of ghouls, ghosts and goblins.
