Get to know the writer:

 1. What is your TV PILOT screenplay about?

It is about a group of friends living in Denver, all whom have different career paths, but struggle together to make it in the real world. In the pilot, two of the characters get robbed and seek to retrieve their lost items, with or without the police’s help.

2. What genres does your screenplay fall under?

It is a Comedic Sitcom!

3. Why should this screenplay be made into a TV show?

It was influenced by and has elements of the great 90’s sitcom era. I believe that television today is over saturated with “Reality TV”, and is definitely lacking the relevance of classic shows. Paycheck 2 Paycheck will be a great nostalgic series, with constant laughs and off the wall situations.

4. How would you describe this script in two words?

Real Life!

5. What movie have you seen the most times in your life?

It is a toss-up between The Color Purple and The Green Mile.

6. How long have you been working on this screenplay?

I first got the idea back in 2013 or 2014 but didn’t complete it until late 2015 early 2016.

7. How many stories have you written?

I have a short story, two completed TV Pilots, a Feature, and a few Shorts.

8. What is your favorite song? (Or, what song have you listened to the most times in your life?)

Anything by the late/great Sam Cooke!

9. What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay?

Deciding when to stop editing and leaving it complete. I tend to get a little carried away with my writing and cannot decide on when it’s finished. I’m a bit of a perfectionist.

10. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

I love making and listening to music, acting, and also filming.

11. You entered your screenplay via FilmFreeway. What has been your experiences working with the submission platform site?

I have had pretty good luck through FilmFreeway. My first piece I submitted, which ironically was Paycheck 2 Paycheck, won first place in the television category for the Los Independent Film Festival Awards. It was also placed in Film Fest LA at LA Live.

12. What influenced you to enter the festival? What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received?

It is very difficult for writers which I have noticed, so I am making good use of any platform/festival I can get my work into. I’m always confident in my work, so I go into anything with the mindset of a winner!!
