Get to know the writer:

What is your screenplay about?

My screenplay is a modern day re-telling of Cinderella. It’s the story of a daughter who finds herself in the constraints of a not so great family situation. At its core is heart, hope and love.

2. What genres does your screenplay fall under?

RomCom

3. Why should this screenplay be made into a movie?

Hollywood has all but forgotten about the romcom genre. I am hoping my feature can do its part to bring the genre back and get girl friendly films back into theaters. My version takes this simple romantic comedy and iconic children’s story and completely turns it on its head in a fun and funny compelling way.

4. How would you describe this script in two words?

Date Night

5. What movie have you seen the most times in your life?

Probably “Breakfast at Tiffany’s” which is why the nod to that film is peppered throughout this script.

6. How long have you been working on this screenplay?

1 year

7. How many stories have you written?

6 completed screenplays

8. What is your favorite song? (Or, what song have you listened to the most times in your life?)

Billy Joel, “Just the Way You Are”

9. What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay?

Making the ending not just unexpected but fantastic!

10. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about?

I am passionate about early Hollywood, interior design, poverty alleviation, the political climate of our nation after having worked as the former Executive Assistant to President Trump,
