1. What is your screenplay about? 
Every June 14th, George Washington and Abraham Lincoln rise from the grave to kill teens who flunk American History. A group of high school students, who cheat on their history exam to avoid summer school, are about to get a lesson in terror…and hilarity.

2. What genres does your screenplay fall under?
Horror-comedy. Spoof. Satire.

3. Why should this screenplay be made into a movie? 
Diverse characters. A point of view. Comedic female roles.

4. How would you describe this script in two words?   
Funny. Timely.

5. What movie have you seen the most times in your life? 
“HalloweeN.”

6. How long have you been working on this screenplay?  
The script was written in a few days, but has undergone revisions.

7. How many stories have you written? 
About seven scripts (shorts and features). More to come.

8. What is your favorite song? (Or, what song have you listened to the most times in your life?) 
Theme from “HalloweeN.”

9. What obstacles did you face to finish this screenplay? 
The script was initially a spoof trailer in a previous screwball comedy we wrote about the film industry. Then it became a logline pitch. When a notable production company requested to read the screenplay, we wrote it in a few days.

10. Apart from writing, what else are you passionate about? 
Music and video editing.

11. You entered your screenplay via FilmFreeway. What has been your experiences working with the submission platform site? 
It’s fine. Easy to use and track submissions and festival status.

12. What influenced you to enter the festival? What were your feelings on the initial feedback you received?
“Flag Day” is one of our few comedic scripts since we usually write horror. The festival came up in a search and sounded intriguing. The story is dialogue heavy and has one-liners we thought actors might have fun with at a reading.
